Busch started the race in 4th place and quickly made his way to the front of the pack. This win was Busch’s 10th Nationwide Series victory this season, marking yet another milestone in Busch’s record breaking year.

“It was a strong car all day and it kind of set the tone,” Said Team NOS Energy Member Kyle Busch. “It sort of got loose a little bit through the race and we tightened it up with some adjustments there. Fortunately for us, we were up front all day and didn’t have to mire through much traffic, but I still feel like our car was good enough to do so.”

The No. 18 led for 174 of 200 laps at the Texas Motor Speedway and gave Kyle his 21st NASCAR victory this season. The number 21 was a good number for Busch this weekend, as this race also marked Busch’s 21st career Nationwide Series victory.

Kyle Busch has continued his NASCAR winning streak with another victory on Wednesday night, August 20th. Kyle won the O’Reilly 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway for his third Craftsman Truck Series win of the season and his 17th overall in 2008 in NASCAR’s top three series. Team NOS Member Kyle Busch was driving his Miccosukee / NOS Energy Drink No. 51 Craftsman truck last night, and he did it with style. Kyle, once again, showed why he is the top NASCAR in competition today, no matter what he’s behind the wheel of.

The race scheduled 200-laps was extended three laps after a caution and spin off of Turn 2 on Lap 199 to bring out the last of a record 12 cautions. This set up a nail bitter down to the finish with a green-white-checkered finish. Busch’s No. 51 Toyota struggled with vapor locking under previous restarts, but his final and most important restart on Lap 201 was flawless and he easily beat Todd Bodine off the jump. The 23-year-old led the final 130 laps, endured four cautions and a red flag over the final 21 laps and finally inked the victory by holding off the field on a green-white-checker finish.

“This feels pretty good,” Busch said. “We just had a great race tonight.” Busch extended his record for combined victories in NASCAR’s three top series to 17. He also joined Mark Martin and Carl Edwards as the only drivers to win at the .533-mile banked oval in all three series. “It’s fun to win anywhere, but to be able to do it in all three series at various race tracks, it means a lot,” Busch said.

NOS congratulates Kyle Busch on another amazing finish and his 17th NASCAR Victory of the season. To learn more about Kyle Busch and NOS Energy Drink, go to www.drinkNOS.com for more info.

Kyle Busch completed his road course dominance in 2008 with an incredible eighth win of the season in Sunday’s running of the Centurion Boats at The Glen at Watkins Glen International. After leading the 43-car field to the green flag on Sunday, Busch led a race-high 52 laps and held off teammate Tony Stewart in the closing laps to pick up the victory. With today’s amazing performance, Busch has deservedly been crowned the new king of road courses, sweeping both Infineon and Watkins Glen in the Sprint Cup Series and also winning a Nationwide Series race in Mexico City.

“I knew he was going to be hard to beat,” Busch said of his teammate, Tony Stewart. “I was racing against the same stuff with Tony and Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota so I knew it was going to be hard to beat Tony. He’s such a great friend and such a great teammate and I’m really going to hate to see him leave at the end of the year. He has been so fun to work with this year. I have to thank him, everyone at JGR (Joe Gibbs Racing), all of M&M’s, Pedigree, Combos. I have to thank the fans because they are the ones that make us race. Everybody out there – I appreciate your support.”

The road to victory was again a windy one for Busch and his No. 18 M&M’s Team, made to look easy with a great race car, great communication and great race strategy. The weekend started off with rain showers that washed out practice and qualifying on Friday afternoon. The team got a scare on Saturday, fearing they might have to change engines when Busch missed a shift in practice, driving the tachometer to 11,000 rpm’s. After a lengthy diagnosis, the team was able to keep the engine in place and retain their first-place starting spot.

With the win, Busch clinched the top spot in the 10-race Chase to the Sprint Cup Championship. He also set a new NASCAR record for three road-course wins in a season. Busch extended his current points lead to 242 over second place, and increased his win total to 16 for the season across NASCAR’s top three divisions. Team NOS Member Kyle Busch continues to make NASCAR history with each win. “Victory lane with NOS never gets old!” said Kyle Busch. “This year is bigger than a dream. I’m overwhelmed with the outcome already. Each week is more and more exciting.”

Kyle Busch Lead 197 Laps En Route to Record-Breaking Win

After a mid-week rule change, aimed at trimming back horsepower for all Toyota teams, in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Team NOS Member Kyle Busch and his No. 18 Z-Line Designs team were set on proving a point. The talented 23-year old did just that, as his Joe Gibbs Racing-prepared Toyota Camry led a race-record 197 of the 200 total laps en route to another dominating win in Saturday night’s Kroger 200 at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis.

The win was the fifth of the season for the No. 18 team. “What a great car and what a great team,” said Busch, whose 197 laps led broke the previous Kroger 200 record of 172 laps led set by Randy LaJoie in 1997. “Joe Gibbs Racing – it’s no wonder that we’ve won this many races this year. The guys just come to the race track prepared. There wasn’t much that we changed on the Z-Line Designs car from where we unloaded. I’m so proud of Jason Ratcliff (crew chief) and everybody at the shop. They made this weekend worthwhile. We wanted to come out here and get a little sweet revenge on everybody. It turned out that way and worked out in our favor.”

The win was also a continuation of a record-breaking season for Busch, as it was the Las Vegas native’s 15th victory of the season across NASCAR’s top three series – Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman Truck. It broke a tie with Kevin Harvick (14 total wins in 2006) for the most victories overall in a season since the addition of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

After starting second, Busch took the early lead on the first corner of the first lap from rookie polesitter Colin Braun and never looked back.

Busch’s victory was the 17th of his Nationwide Series career and his sixth this season.

NOS Energy Drink has felt right at home this season with Kyle Busch, as they have celebrated 15 victories in Victory Lane with Team NOS Member Kyle Busch. This year has proved to be a major success for both Kyle Busch and NOS Energy Drink. To learn more about NOS Energy Drink, go to www.drinkNOS.com.

Kyle Busch Celebrates His 13th and 14th NASCAR Win In 2008 This Weekend

Team NOS Member Kyle Busch is leaving the world shocked and without words after this race weekend. NASCAR’s hottest driver showed in convincing fashion that he is poised and focused to win, and he did just that. It started on Friday night, July 11, 2008, at the Dollar General 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill. Busch led twice for a race-high 101 laps en route to his fifth Nationwide series win of the season.

“To be associated with Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota and all the folks here – Z Line Designs and OfficeMax, for being on board tonight – it’s just unbelievable,” said Busch, who scored his 16th career Nationwide Series win with his triumph at Chicagoland. “I’ve got to thank the fans that were here tonight and saw a pretty good show. These Nationwide drivers drove smart tonight and they didn’t have a caution in the final – I don’t know how many laps – but it was forever. Happy to be here and happy to be in victory lane again. This is awesome.”

Just when everyone thought Friday was an incredible show, Team NOS Member Kyle Busch decided to turn the intensity up even higher during Saturday’s LifeLock.com 400 race on July 12, 2008. The superlatives just keep coming in. Every single week, every single race, Kyle Busch continues to shock and amaze NASCAR fans. This week, Busch admittedly managed to surprise himself for once. He dominated most of the night, leading 165 of 267 laps in the LifeLock.com 400. But it took a bold move to the outside of Jimmie Johnson on the final restart to pull out yet another Sprint Cup series victory, his seventh of the 2008 season.

“I have to thank these guys. I gave up on myself and didn’t think I could do that,” Busch said after the race. “I’ve watched Jimmie Johnson do that a few times and I don’t know how I did that. This M&M’s Toyota team is just phenomenal tonight. Great pit stops all night. Every time we came down pit road we had fast pit stops.”

Saturday night’s race at the 1.5-mile Chicagoland Speedway started in familiar fashion, with the colorful look of the No. 18 M&M’s Toyota setting the pace. With qualifying rained out, the field was set by owner’s points and Busch started from the pole position. He led the first 43 laps, but relinquished the lead to a hard-charging Carl Edwards.

Busch had a stranglehold on the field until a restart on lap 248. Jimmie Johnson dove to the bottom groove of the race track and took the lead away from the dominant Joe Gibbs Racing driver. At that point, Johnson began to create some distance between himself and Busch. He looked to have the race win wrapped up when a caution came out for oil on the track.

NASCAR’s defending champion led NASCAR’s current point’s leader to the green flag for the final restart of the night with just two laps to go. With some added motivation from his crew chief and spotter, Busch shot to the outside groove and pulled up door-to-door with Johnson through the middle of turns one and two. He completed the pass and made it stick, staying out front for the final lap to take the checkered flag in the LifeLock.com 400.

“I really don’t believe how good things are going,” said Busch. “It’s just been a phenomenal year. Something just so special. I have to thank the good Lord from up above. I don’t know where this is coming from, but he’s blessing us all at Joe Gibbs Racing this year. This is just a privilege to be a part of and we’re so proud.”

Congratulations to Kyle and his whole crew for an amazing race weekend. Kyle Busch enjoyed his 13th and 14th victory this season, and was finally able to turn that NOS Energy Drink bottle on his crews this weekend and shower them with his infamous NOS Bath. International Speedway.

It was Busch’s series-high sixth win of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season, the 10th of his Sprint Cup career and his first at Daytona.

“Man, I can’t believe that we’re here right now,” Busch said. “We didn’t have the best car tonight, but these guys never gave up and we never gave up out there on the race track. We just had to get up to the front, and luckily we were leading there when it mattered the most when the caution came out. There was just a ton of wrecks behind us. I hate it for all of those guys in torn up equipment. I’m glad to have this Interstate Batteries Toyota up front.”

Busch and his Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) teammate Denny Hamlin made contact on lap 83, causing Busch to nearly lose control of his Interstate Batteries Toyota. But Busch – in a masterful piece of driving – kept control of his car by going to the apron of the race track as the pack of cars behind him screamed past.

“When I got hit from Denny and I pulled out of line to try to pass, the air pinned the nose and it just got me squirrely down the straightaway,” Busch said. “And there was really no rear grip in the tires while I was going straight for whatever reason. So just had to slow it down and get it straight and rode the apron there.

After recovering from the minor incident, Busch worked his way from 37th to the front of the field and managed to pass Jeff Gordon for the lead on lap 156 just before a multi-car accident in turn three caused NASCAR officials to extend the race two laps beyond the original 160-lap distance.

“I knew it was the green‑white-checkered, and yeah, I did see the ‘24’ (Gordon) go around,” Busch said. “And I was kind of waiting for the caution and the caution never came. I just kept my foot in it, and I was like, ‘All right, I guess we’re going to be racing.’ I just kept my foot in it and tried to beat (Edwards) and finish the race up front.”

Busch was just ahead of Edwards when the caution came out again for a multi-car accident in turn one on lap 162. Busch was declared the winner by NASCAR officials, as it was determined his car was in the lead when the caution came out.

“What an amazing night tonight. This is something that we have all dreamt about for a long time. We raced this race extremely hard, and my whole crew wanted this win as bad as I did. They worked harder than anyone making sure to give me every chance in the world to win this race. Jumping out of the car and spraying them down with NOS Energy Drink was a highlight for me, because they deserve the NOS bath in victory lane tonight,” said Kyle Busch.

In his first Sprint Cup road track race this year Klye went from last place to first place in an almost impossible short amount of time. It seemed like Klye was on a Sunday cruise in his NOS Energy Drink car while everyone else just wanted to watch him drive. We want to congratulate Kyle on his 11th win of the season and we know it won’t be long for the next one! You can check out the press release we just released for him by clicking the image to the left.

Kyle Busch kicked off NASCAR’s summer swing with a win in the Best Buy 400 at Dover International Speedway on Sunday afternoon. Busch and the No. 18 Combos Team started the race from the third position and never ran worse than fourth all day before walking away with their fourth win of the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

Busch took the lead of the race after a stellar green-flag pit stop by his crew on lap 237. The pit crew continued its good work during another round of green-flag pit stops on lap 317, helping Busch to not only retain the lead but also open up a nearly five second lead on the second place car of Carl Edwards. By the time the race was over, Busch had led 158 laps en route to his fourth win of the 2008 Sprint Cup Series season.

“It was definitely a great race for us,” Busch said. “I’ve got to thank Combos and JGR (Joe Gibbs Racing) and all of the guys from Toyota that work on this thing and just do a phenomenal job for us. We probably didn’t have the car to beat today. Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle were better than us but we made it on the long run as good as they did and we knew if we could get track position and get in front of them that we would be a little bit better.”

“The guys on pit road had a phenomenal day,” Busch continued. “They got us out front and kept us out front and that’s what won it for us here today. They (pit crew) should enjoy this win. This is their win right here. I just drove a race car and drove a race where I just needed to pace myself and just run around the bottom every lap and not really move around much. The guys that pitted this thing on pit road definitely won it for us and they are deserving of this win as well as this NOS Bath I just gave them in Victory Lane.”

“It’s incredible to watch Kyle race.” said Mike Fine, Brand Director of NOS Energy Drink. “He really makes a race exciting all the way down to the end. I am blown away that it’s June 1st and he has already captured 10 NASCAR victories this year and leads the Sprint Cup Points as well. We are all extremely proud of him and love his passion to win!”
