With over 260 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft of torque on tap, the factory LNF engine is a formable powerplant to have residing under your hood. GM is committed to the Sport Compact enthusiast and as such, is releasing the LNF Turbo Upgrade kit for the Pontiac Solstice, Sky Redline and HHR SS. This upgrade kit includes a new engine calibration and upgraded MAP sensors that turn those 260 ponies into 290 stampeding horses!

GMTunerSource worked with Todd Christensen at GM to help put us in touch with the lead engineer of this upgrade, Bill Duncan, at GM’s High Performance Vehicle Organization to give us an exclusive inside look at the new LNF Turbo Upgrade Kit. After many meetings with Bill, we are very excited about the new kit. GM really did their homework and has delivered a knockout upgrade for LNF owners.

Theory is working with GM to put on another great ECOtec Owners Meet at the Lordstown Assembly Plant in Lordstown, Ohio. During the meet tours will be given throughout the Lordstown facility so owners can see exactly what goes into putting their cars together. Theory put together a post on several ECOtec forums announcing GM’s planned VIP ECOtec Owners meet at the Mid Ohio Sports Course on June 22nd. This event is going to be a blast for owners with GM offering pit tours and free catered lunch along with free entry to watch the new 08 Turbo Cobalt SS tear up the Mid Ohio Sports Course in the KONI Challenge. There were 50 spots availible and Theory got the event full a record time of less than 48 hours!

Chevrolet wants to show their support to Cobalt and ECOtec enthusiasts! Chevy Racing is offering a limited number of Cobalt owners (and their guest) special VIP treatment at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course on Sunday, June 22, 9:00am – 4:00pm

Come cheer on the production-based Cobalt SS teams during the Koni Challenge race, plus get behind the scenes with the Chevy staff, teams

and drivers. Don’t own a Cobalt? No problem – any ECOtec-powered GM vehicle is eligible.

Theory worked with our client GM on the 2nd event this year, which went great! Theory organized the ECOtec Owners meet for the May 5th event at Old Bridge Raceway in Englishtown, NJ. All went according to plan even with forecasted rain storms for the weekend. The ECOtec owners came out and force and Theory got people to come from as far as New Hampshire to attend the event. Theory even stood outside the venue and gathered ECOtec owners that weren’t planning on attending the meeting to come inside and be a part of the festivities. A great time was had by all and all the GM VIP Owners got an exclusive look at the GM Racing program and a sneak peak at the new HHR SS and Cobalt SS.
