Theory Communication and Design and Ben Schaffer, Bulletproof Automotive, had an idea about building the perfect reincarnation of Godzilla to celebrate the resurgence of the GT-R name with the R35 GT-R. On behalf of Mobil 1, Schaffer took the idea and went to work, modifying his GT-R so that it would improve the car’s aesthetics and performance. Ben’s motivation was to build a GT-R that would beat whatever Nissan had planned for the upcoming V-spec GT-R, including braking, handling, power, weight reduction, aerodynamics and of course, luxury.

Upon completion of his masterpiece, Ben added something to his GT-R that would excite any JDM enthusiast: exclusive OEM “Midnight Purple” paint, straight from Nissan Japan. This paint is reserved for only for the crème de la crème of GT-R’s that meet Nissan’s top spec requirements and really sets this car apart from the crowd.

The Mobil 1/Bulletproof Automotive GT-R will be the first R35 GT-R in the world to be adorned with the Midnight Purple color scheme, but there are a lot more unique attributes that make this car something truly exceptional. On the exterior, you can’t miss the one-off Carbon Roof and Full Zele Carbon Aerodynamic Package with Amuse Wing, highlighted with graphic design by world famous designer Manabu “Mana-P” Suzuki of MS-R and Option. Under the hood you’ll find performance modifications like a COBB AccessPORT ECU and a Powerhouse Amuse Full Turbo Back Exhaust System helping the extra air exit out the back. Bringing this GT-R to a hault, is an Endless Mono-6 Racing Brake Conversion on all 4 corners while an Amuse Suspension with Electronic Integration, BBS LM Limited Wheel and Toyo Proxes R888 Tires keep the R35 planted firmly to the road.

There are only a few days left until the SEMA show hits in Las Vegas and word about this extraordinary Mobil 1/Bulletproof Automotive Nissan GT-R has been spreading like wild fire. This one-off custom R35 will be on display in the Mobil 1 booth (#25173) next week. For more information, please visit www.Mobil1.com.

Tjin is no stranger to the automotive industry, as he has been involved in the automotive market for more than a decade. Over the years, Neil has experienced great success in many fields such as a Marketing Manager, PR Advisor, Car Designer and Executive Editor of HCI Magazine. Tjin has been able to take a hobby and turn it into a career. He has been responsible for designing and building more than fifty high profile vehicles, showcasing his creative talents on numerous Chevrolets, Pontiacs, Hondas, Acuras, Nissans, Infinitis, Scions, and Volvos. In recent years, Tjin has also teamed up with major OEM manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Pontiac, Scion and Honda North America. HCI Magazine has experienced growth and industry recognition through his leadership as their Executive Editor since 2003.

Working as the Executive Editor of HCI Magazine, a nationally published automotive magazine, for close to 5 years has really given me the opportunity to gain valuable experience on the media side of things. I have worked with Andy Williamson and the Theory team on many projects in the past, and their drive, determination, and dedication to their clients is unmatched. When Andy and I got together to figure out what would be the best move for Theory and their clients, we knew that collaboration between Theory Communication and Design and myself would make a great impact in the industry.

Neil comes with a great amount of experience and will be an immediate asset for Theory. We are an extremely passionate group here at Theory and Neil will fit in perfectly. Expanding our presence to the west coast is going to be very impactful for Theory. I can easily see the west coast office growing very quickly over there.
