It’s sad for me to hear this news from NOPI Motorsports. They have been a major partner to the automotive industry for many years. Like everything – times change. The market is maturing and people are moving forward. The automotive industry and the aftermarket industry is doing very well. In fact it is giving us time to finally see the markets focused and moved toward a strong environment for enthusiasts for years down the road.
I wish NOPI the very best. No matter what anyone says, they have been here a long time, and have provided events that many of us have extremely found memories of!
Get ready to see some great things in the market. The focus will take place here very soon – and top industry leaders will help step up and push the market where it needs to go. On Saturday, July 5th, Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota Camry, rallied from a near accident on lap 83 to win the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race Saturday night at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.
It was Busch’s series-high sixth win of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season, the 10th of his Sprint Cup career and his first at Daytona.
“Man, I can’t believe that we’re here right now,” Busch said. “We didn’t have the best car tonight, but these guys never gave up and we never gave up out there on the race track. We just had to get up to the front, and luckily we were leading there when it mattered the most when the caution came out. There was just a ton of wrecks behind us. I hate it for all of those guys in torn up equipment. I’m glad to have this Interstate Batteries Toyota up front.” …
