About
Sometimes you just need a shot in the arm to get you going. Theory Communication and Design has been that shot for many great companies that are looking to break into the very difficult demographic of 15 – 33 year old’s. Theory specializes in Youth Automotive Marketing, Public Relations and Design. This has come with years of experience in the Youth Automotive World, starting as car builders / designers, and enthusiasts.
The love for all things on wheels took the Founder Andy Williamson to the print media world where he got his start with TMR Magazine, back in 1996. TMR Magazine was one of the pioneer magazines of the Sport Compact Market. Andy then had a chance to move over to HCI Magazine where he quickly became the Executive Editor of the magazine. While at Buckaroo Communications he was able to help them successfully launch a Youth Automotive Car Show book called B-Scene.
Working in print media helped open doors for Andy, as well as got him working with a lot various manufacturers in developing products for the Youth Automotive Market as well as helping and aiding them in creating proper marketing strategies and PR initiatives. Andy was used by companies like Daimler Chrysler, to help them launch the Dodge SRT-4 to the Youth Automotive Market and to help Daimler Chrysler by placing stories in the media about the vehicle and what Daimler Chrysler and Mopar where doing with them. He later received an SRT-4 as a gift from Daimler Chrysler, which he then built for a company called Evotion.
Andy moved from HCI Magazine to launch and develop his own magazine called C16 Magazine. C16 Magazine was the very first complete Youth Automotive Lifestyle Magazine ever. The element of hardcore enthusiasts cars along with brand new product releases and event coverage made the automotive side of the magazine one of the top products in the market. You then flipped the magazine over to have a full Youth Lifestyle Magazine, which covered the Lifestyle elements of fashion, technology, events, people and gaming. C16 quickly wowed the marketplace, and immediately sent other publishers and publishing houses into their offices scratching their heads on how they where going to evolve to compete with a product like C16.
In 2005 C16 was sold to a Publisher in Hollywood, California. Andy then took his efforts and knowledge and created a Public Relations, Marketing and Design Company called Theory Communication and Design. Theory was launched and born with the help from its first client, General Motors Corporate. General Motors was working hard to find someone or agency to help them break into the Youth Automotive sector more efficiently and with quick success. Andy had been working on a few things with GM over the past few years and when they had heard that he was moving from C16 Magazine, they immediately moved into action and put a deal together to have Andy develop strategies to help them infiltrate the youth media in a big way. Andy created Theory Communication and Design, and went out and started working press and industry insiders on behalf of General Motors.
As companies started to see incredible results from Theory on behalf of GM, they started to call and ask for help and strategies in their own businesses. Theory over the past few years has been able to grow and retain staff from their days in Publishing and Design. Which has made Theory the premier Youth Automotive – Public Relations, Marketing and Design Agency in the market.
Theory not only knows how to direct companies into the Youth Automotive Market, they are the market. Theory has a passion for anything automotive and is still involved in the marketplace as enthusiasts. Theory keeps a young staff on hand so that they can continue to know the pulse of the market and how to lead it.
